If your printed invoices come out too narrow, too wide, or with the text running off the edge, the paper size is set wrong.

Steps

  1. Go to Business Profile.
  2. Find Invoice Print Size.
  3. Choose the width that matches the paper in your printer.
  4. Save.

Which one to pick

  • 2 Inch for a small thermal printer, the kind that takes a narrow till roll
  • 3 Inch for a standard thermal receipt printer, which is what most businesses have
  • 4 Inch for a larger thermal printer

If you are not sure, measure the paper roll rather than guessing. Three inch is the one HappyPet starts with, so if nobody has ever changed this and your printing looks right, it is already on three.

Worth knowing

This is the width of the paper, not the size of the text. Choosing a wider setting will not make an invoice easier to read on a narrow roll, it will cut the edges off.

This setting is for thermal receipt printers. If you print invoices on ordinary A4 paper from a normal office printer, this does not apply to you.

The setting belongs to the business, so it applies everywhere invoices are printed rather than to one computer.
