When someone rings up asking about their dog's last groom, or whether they still owe you anything, you do not need to go hunting through booking lists. Open the customer and it is all in front of you.

How to open a customer

  1. Go to Customers.
  2. Find them in the list and open their name.

You can also get here from any booking by opening the customer's name on it.

What is on the page

Down the left is the customer and their pets. Press a pet to see that pet on its own, which is where the breed, the microchip number and the vaccination dates live.

Across the rest of the page are these:

  • Pets, everything you hold about each animal
  • Bookings, split by Boarding, Daycare, In-house Grooming, Mobile Grooming, Other Bookings and Retail, so you can go straight to the kind you mean
  • Documents, anything you have uploaded for them
  • Reviews, what they said after a visit
  • Notes, anything your team should know before they arrive
  • Activity, a trail of what has happened on the account

Their Wallet balance sits with the customer details. That is money in credit with you, and it is explained in its own article.

Things you can do from here

Press Actions for the jobs you do most:

  • Book services starts a booking with this customer already filled in
  • Set reminders adds a reminder against them
  • Track vaccinations shows what is due and when

Press the phone number to copy it, which saves reading it out loud while you dial.

If a pet is missing

A customer with no pets cannot be given a booking, because a booking is always for an animal. If the pets area is empty, add one first. Actions will tell you if this is what is stopping you.

If you cannot find the customer

They may be archived. Archived customers are kept out of the main list so it stays quick to search, and they have their own list.
