When you want to know how busy you really were last month, or how many nights you actually billed against the rooms you have, the occupancy report gives you the whole picture in one file.
Steps
- Go to Reports.
- Find Boarding Occupancy Cycle Report.
- Press Download Report.
- Choose the dates you want to cover.
- Download it.
What is in it
One row per pet, covering both boarding and daycare, showing:
- when the pet came in and when it went out
- which room or service it was on
- how many days or nights were billed
What to use it for
Comparing the nights you billed against the rooms you have is the quickest way to see whether you are turning work away when you did not need to, or paying for space you are not filling.
It also settles arguments about a bill. If a customer says they only stayed two nights, the row shows the check in date, the check out date and what was charged.
Worth knowing
The report follows the dates you choose, so a stay that starts in one month and ends in the next will appear if it overlaps the range at all. Bear that in mind when you compare one month against another.
If you manage more than one branch, check which branch the report is for before you read too much into the numbers.
