If you collect pets and bring them back, set the service up once and it becomes something you can add to any booking.
Steps
- Go to Pickup & Drop.
- Press Add Pickup/Drop.
- Fill in the Name of the Service, which is what your team will see on a booking.
- Set the Distance it covers.
- Set the Price.
- Choose which Pet Animal it is for.
- Choose the branch, or tick Add this Service for all branches.
- Save.
Setting them up by distance
Most businesses add several, one for each distance band, rather than one that covers everywhere. Something like up to five, up to ten, up to twenty.
That way the person taking the booking picks the band the customer falls into and the price is right without anyone working it out. It also means you can put the price up for the far ones without touching the near ones.
Name them so the distance is obvious in the name, because the name is all your team sees when they are on the phone to a customer.
Which pets
A service set up for dogs will not appear on a cat booking. If you carry both in the same van, add it for each pet type you take.
Branches
If you have more than one branch, a service belongs to the branch you assign it to unless you tick the box for all of them.
Prices and distances often differ between branches, so think before you tick it. It is easier to add a second one than to untangle a shared one later.
What happens next
Once these exist, a pick up or a drop can be added when you take a booking, and the day's collections show up on the driver list.
