Open one of your own bookings and everything about it sits in one place, split across a few tabs.
Steps
- Go to your bookings and open the one you want.
- Use the tabs across the top to move between the parts of it.
What each tab is for
Booking is the detail. Who it is for, which pets, which service, when, and who is doing it.
Billing is the money side, which has its own article.
Notes is where you write anything the team needs to know. What the dog is like with strangers, where the key is kept, what went wrong last time.
Activity is the trail of what has happened. Who created the booking, who changed it, when the status moved. Nobody writes this, it builds itself.
Notes are worth the effort
The person who takes the booking is often not the person who does the job. A note written when the customer mentions something is the difference between a smooth visit and an awkward one.
Write them so somebody who has never met this animal can act on them. "Nervous" is less use than "barks at men in hats, give him a minute before putting the lead on".
When somebody disputes what happened
Activity is the answer. It shows who did what and when, which settles most arguments about whether a booking was moved or who cancelled it.
It is a record rather than something you fill in, so it is only as useful as it is complete. That is another reason to change bookings in HappyPet rather than agreeing something over the phone and not recording it.
Changing the booking
Change it on the Booking tab. If money is involved, check Billing afterwards, because changing what was booked does not always change what has already been invoiced.
