A product is anything you sell or use up: shampoo, food, toys, medicines. Once it exists you can put it on an invoice and HappyPet keeps count of what is left.

Steps

  1. Go to Inventory, then Products.
  2. Add a new product.
  3. Give it a name your team will recognise on a shelf, not just the name on the box.
  4. Set the selling price.
  5. Save.

Getting the count right

Adding a product does not give you any stock. It creates the item. The count comes from receiving stock against a purchase order, or from an opening stock entry if you already have some on the shelf today.

If you are setting up and you already hold stock, use Open Stock Entry so your first count matches what is really there.

If something goes wrong

If a product does not appear when you are adding it to an invoice, check it is active and that you are on the right branch. Stock is counted per branch.
