HappyPet expects the day to run in one order: check the pet in, do the extra services, then check it out. Doing it in that order keeps the bill right and stops a pet going home with something the customer paid for but nobody delivered.
When the pet arrives
- Open the booking.
- Press Check In.
The booking moves to Ongoing and the room now counts as occupied.
During the stay
Mark each extra service as done as you finish it. A bath, a nail trim, anything the customer added when they booked.
The Done buttons stay locked until the pet is checked in. That is on purpose, so a service cannot be marked as delivered before the pet has even arrived.
When the pet goes home
- Make sure every extra service on the booking is marked as done.
- Press Check Out.
- Take the payment if there is anything left to pay.
If Check Out will not work, see why the Check Out button is not working yet.
If the customer collects early
Check out as normal on the day they actually collect. The dates on the booking stay as they were, so you keep a record of what was booked against what happened.
