A program is the course a pet parent signs up for. Nothing can be booked until one is published.
Before you start
The Training card has to be on for your branch. See how to set up training.
You need permission to change training settings. Without it the Add program button is not there.
Add a program
- Go to Settings, then Price Catalogue, then the Training tab.
- Press Add program at the top right. On an empty list the button reads Add your first program.
- Under Program, fill in the Program name and Who is it for?.
- Choose Private course or Group class. A group class also needs Pets per batch.
- Under Schedule, set Number of sessions and how long a session lasts.
- Under Price, enter the price. In India you also need the SAC.
- Under Questions and skills, pick a question set and the skills this course teaches.
- Under Branches, tick the branches that offer it.
- Press Publish.
You will see:
Program published. Reception can book it now.
Press Save as draft instead to come back to it. A draft accepts almost anything, so you can fill in what you know and finish later. The checks only run when you publish.
Editing a published program gives you Save and publish instead.
A group class needs batches
A group class is not bookable on its own. Press Batches in the sidebar and press Add batch to set the dates a group actually runs.
Do that after the program is published. The program form says so too.
The starter programs
A new list comes with a few starter programs, marked Starter:
We've added a few starter programs. Edit the ones you offer and delete the rest.
Press Edit on the ones you want and change them to suit you. Press Delete on the rest while they are still drafts.
The consultation
The first card in the list is Consultation, and there is only one. It is the first visit, and a course that starts with a consultation books this one.
Press Edit on it to set the price and the length in Minutes. Then pick where it can happen: At the centre, At the pet parent's home or Online. Each place can carry its own price and travel time. Press Save.
Taking one out of use
Press Archive on a program you no longer sell. It stops being bookable and the bookings already taken are left alone. Press Bring back to offer it again.
Delete is only there on a draft, because a published program may already be on a booking.
If something goes wrong
Publishing checks everything, and the first problem is also shown as a message at the top. The common ones are:
Give the program a name.
A program needs at least one session.
Enter the price.
Choose at least one branch that offers this program.
A session has to be between 10 minutes and 8 hours. A group class needs room for between 2 and 30 pets.
If the age limits you set rule a pet out, reception cannot book it. The form says so:
A pet outside these ages, or missing a required vaccine, needs a manager to book it.
