A boarding booking asks which room each pet is sleeping in, so your rooms have to exist before you can take one.

Steps

  1. Go to Rooms & Spaces.
  2. Choose Boarding Spaces.
  3. Press Add Room.
  4. Give the room a name your team will recognise when they read it on a booking, such as Kennel 3 or Cat Suite 1.
  5. Choose which pet type it is for.
  6. Set how many pets it holds.
  7. Save.

Capacity is what stops you double booking

The number of pets a room holds is what HappyPet uses to decide whether a room is free. A room that holds two pets will keep showing as available until both places are taken.

Set this to the number of pets you would genuinely put in that space together, not the number that would physically fit.

If something goes wrong

If a room does not appear when you are making a booking, it is already full for some or all of those dates. Change the dates, or add another room.

If you have a clinic as well, note that Clinic Spaces and Boarding Spaces are separate lists. A room added under one will not show in the other.
