Daycare is priced separately from boarding, even though both use your spaces. A day visit and an overnight stay are different things and usually different money.
Steps
- Go to Settings, then Price Catalogue.
- Open the Daycare list.
- Add an entry with its Name and Price.
- Choose the branch it belongs to.
- Save.
Naming
The name is what the person taking the booking picks, and often what the customer sees. Full day, Half day, Puppy day.
If you charge differently for a second dog from the same family, make that its own entry rather than expecting somebody to work it out.
Enable and disable
Enable and Disable control whether something is offered when a booking is being taken. A disabled entry shows as Disabled from listing.
Use this rather than deleting when you stop offering something for a season. Deleting loses the history, and disabling means you can bring it back in spring without setting it up again.
Branches
An entry belongs to Current Branch unless you set it for All Branches. Daycare prices vary a lot between locations, so shared entries are usually the wrong choice.
Assigned Branch shows where each one applies, which is worth checking after you add several.
Boarding and daycare are separate lists
Adding a price under boarding will not make it available for daycare. This is the most common reason a price you know you added does not appear when booking a day visit.
After you set it up
Prices apply to new bookings. Anything already booked keeps what it was booked at, so a price rise never surprises somebody who booked in advance.
