Clocking in and out records your own working hours, so they are counted for you.
It is not the same as checking a pet in or out. That is about the animal's stay. This is about your shift.
Before you start
You need a staff account. A business owner or admin account is not a staff record, so it has no clock in of its own. Owners and admins clock other people in instead, which is covered further down.
Clock in from the top bar
The clock button in the top bar is on every screen, so you do not have to open anything first. It takes two presses, because the button opens a small panel rather than clocking you straight in.
- Press the clock button in the top bar. It reads Clock In, and shows only the clock icon on a narrow screen.
- A panel opens with the time right now.
- Press Clock In in that panel.
To finish for the day, press the clock button again, then press Clock Out in the panel.
While you are on the clock, a green dot sits on the clock icon. Once you have clocked out, the panel shows Today's Attendance with your clock in, clock out and total, and there is nothing left to press.
Clock in from the Attendance page
Go to Attendance in the sidebar. The card at the top does it in one step, with no panel.
On a computer, press Clock In, then Clock Out when you finish.
On a phone that card sits as a bar fixed to the bottom of the screen. Drag Swipe to Clock In, or Swipe to Clock Out, all the way across. It is a swipe and not a button so a phone in your pocket cannot clock you in by accident.
What each status means
Clocked in at 9:05 means you are on the clock, with the time you started.
Attendance Completed means you clocked out and the day is finished.
On Leave means leave is already recorded for you that day, so there is no clock in to make.
Clock Out Missed means you clocked in that day but never clocked out.
Check your hours
Go to Attendance. The table below the card lists Date, Clock In, Clock Out, Total Hours and Status, one row for each day. Use the filters above the table to narrow it to the dates you want.
If you can see everyone's attendance, the table is headed Staff Attendance rather than My Attendance, and it adds Staff, Staff Type and Branch columns with a search box to find one person.
Clock someone else in
Owners and admins can clock a staff member in when that person cannot do it themselves.
- Go to Attendance.
- Press Clock In on the header of the attendance table.
- Choose the person under Clock In For Staff.
- Confirm.
If you forget to clock out
The day reads Clock Out Missed and counts no hours. Anyone who is allowed to edit attendance can put the time right.
- Go to Attendance and find the day in the table.
- Press Edit on that row.
- Set Clock Out to the time you actually finished.
- Save.
If you cannot see Edit on the row, ask your manager. Editing someone's attendance is a separate permission from recording your own.
